Jacob Rodriguez
Jacob I. "Jack" Rodriguez, age 62, of Celina, passed away Tuesday August 16, 2016, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.
He was born August 11, 1954 in Celina. His Parents: Simon & Juanita Zamora Rodriguez, both preceded him in death.
He is survived by his former wife, Teresa Bonifas of Celina, and her family; his Children: Alysia (Scott) Voisin of Celina, Madison Rodriguez (fiancé Don Couthren) of Elgin, TX and Rodney (Ashley) Morgan of Indianapolis; and Grandchildren: Trinity & Hallie Voisin, Emmit McCarty, Jayana Rios, Denzel Couthren, Lilly Wehrkamp and Matthew, Daniel, Cloey, & Myah Morgan. Also surviving are Brothers & Sisters: Tolentino (Ignacia) Rodriguez, Simon Rodriguez Jr. and Vanessa (Albert) Wallace, all of Celina, John (Mae) Rodriguez of Kansas, Robert Rodriguez and Victoria Reyes, both of Fort Worth, TX, Lola (Robert) Garza of Hicksville, Sandra (Greg) McGuire and Robin Rodriguez of Lima, Clarisa (Michael) Pannell of Gahanna, Chris (Mary) Rodriguez of Newport, Kenneth (Jamie) Rodriguez of Lancaster, Cecelia (Fred) Amezquita of Lakeland, FL and Linda (Edward) Garland of Osgood; a Sister-in-law: Helen Rodriguez of Celina and several Godchildren.
He was preceded in death by a Son, Mario Rodriguez, a Brother, Ernie Rodriguez and a Sister-in-law, Mary Rodriguez.
A graduate of Celina High School, Jack was retired, having worked as a welder at Huffy Bicycles and Crown Equipment. He was also known around the area for his karaoke as "Daddy Jack".
He was a member of V.F.W. Post #5713, Moose Lodge #1473 and Eagles Aerie #1291 in Celina.
He enjoyed woodworking, camping, and spending time with his family. Jack's Grandkids were his life, and his greatest joy. He was known as "Papaw" to everyone.
Calling Hours will be held at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, on Saturday August 20, from 12 Noon to 4:00 P.M., followed by the Funeral Service beginning at 4:00. Pastor Randy Christian will officiate.
