A new sign erected Tuesday at the former Holiday Inn Express in Celina reflects the hotel's change to the Best Western brand. "Holiday Inn decided that they do not want any two-story properties in their system," owner Muhammad Khokhar said. The local lodging demand does not merit a third floor, Kohkhar said, so he switched to a well-known hotel brand, Best Western. The 52-room facility has undergone a $600,000 remodeling project, including a fitness center, lobby and breakfast area makeover and parking lot resurfacing. The hotel was built in 1997.
