Margaret Lange
Margaret M. (Wappelhorst) Pleiman Lange, age 77, of Greenback Road, Fort Loramie, passed away of natural causes November 12, 2016, at Wilson Health Hospital in Sidney, Ohio.
She was born February 24, 1939, in Coldwater, Ohio, to the late Bernard and Olivia (Drees) Wappelhorst. On August 8, 1959, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Fort Loramie, Margaret married Ralph H. Pleiman, who preceded her in death on April 9, 1966. On July 20, 1973, at St. Michael Catholic Church, Margaret married Cyril B. Lange who survives.
Also surviving are six children: Rebecca & John O'Reilly of Sidney, Anita & James Couchot of Sidney, Robert Pleiman of Keyport, NJ, Randy Pleiman of Fort Loramie, Barbara & Jeff Pleiman of Minster, Patricia & Dan Schmiesing of Anna; ten grandchildren: Kelly O'Reilly, Stephanie, Brian, and Sarah Couchot, Jack, Noah and Shelby Pleiman, Bradly, Emma and Dylan Schmiesing and three great-grandchildren: Isabella Sanchez, Cameron and Kendall Robinson; sisters & brothers-in-law: Linda Wappelhorst of Greenville, Jane Wappelhorst of Nebraska, Dean & Mary Jane Steinke of Botkins, Angie & Marion Phlipot of Russia, Charlene Meyer of Newport, Norma Toller of Fort Loramie, Rita Schroer of St. Henry, Leroy Lange of St. Henry, Frances Gehret of Fort Loramie, Cletus & Edna Lange of St. Henry, and Louis & Martha Lange of Wapakoneta.
She was preceded in death by daughters-in-law, Catherine and Lynn Pleiman; four siblings: Joan & Butch Barga, Thomas Wappelhorst, Irene & Wally Pleiman, and Donald Wappelhorst as well as several brothers & sisters-in-law.
Margaret had been employed as a packer at Marwil Products in Fort Loramie until she retired in 2001.
She attended St. Michael Catholic Church and served as a Eucharistic minister and Apostleship of Prayer Promoter. She was a member of St. Ann's Rosary Altar Society and had been active in senior ladies activities of the church. She had also been a past member of the Fort Loramie Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
Margaret enjoyed her family. She also enjoyed quilting, cooking, gardening, and canning.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM, Thursday, November 17, 2016, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Fort Loramie with Rev. Steven Shoup presiding. Interment will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery.
Friends may call Wednesday 3:00 to 8:00 PM and Thursday 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie.
