* IMPACTS...Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1218 AM EDT, radar indicated scattered thunderstorms developing which contain moderate to heavy rainfall. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area over the next hour or two. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Fatalities decline in Grand Lake area in 2016
Crashes claimed seven lives last year
The number of traffic fatalities across the Grand Lake area in 2016 was lower than in the previous year.
Mercer County Sheriff's deputies investigated three crashes that caused three deaths. In the past five years, Mercer County has seen an average of about six fatal accidents per year.
Council OKs 2017 budget

MONTEZUMA - Village council members on Wednesday approved the 2017 budget, totaling $552,518.
In the general fund, $45,112 was appropriated, The fund covers $4,175 for salaries, including $750 for the mayor, $1,575 for council members and $1,850 for the clerk-treasurer.
