* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1218 AM EDT, radar indicated scattered thunderstorms developing which contain moderate to heavy rainfall. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area over the next hour or two. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... CELINA - Mercer County Sheriff's Office personnel have sent a DNA profile extracted from human bones discovered a year ago outside of Celina to a private company to obtain a more detailed profile of the homicide victim. [More]
Crashes claimed seven lives last year
The number of traffic fatalities across the Grand Lake area in 2016 was lower than in the previous year.
Mercer County Sheriff's deputies investigated three crashes that caused three deaths. In the past five years, Mercer County has seen an average of about six fatal accidents per year.

MONTEZUMA - Village council members on Wednesday approved the 2017 budget, totaling $552,518.
