Very strong wind gusts and dry soil is leading to areas of blowing dust across the area. This is causing visibility to be reduced to one mile or less in localized area.
Motorists should be prepared for rapidly changing visibility. Slow down and leave plenty of distance between you and the vehicle in front of you.
As winds slowly decrease late this afternoon into the evening, blowing dust should diminish.

* WHAT...West winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 65 mph.
* WHERE...Portions of east central Indiana and central, southwest, and west central Ohio.
* WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT this evening.
* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

Evelyn Hooks
Evelyn Hooks, age 96, of Celina, OH, passed away at 10:00 pm, on March 24, 2017, at the Miller House in Celina.
She was born December 28, 1920 to the late Arnold and Emma (Silk) Pierstorff. She married Stanley "Pete" Hooks on June 14, 1947; he preceded her in death in 1989.
Survivors include a daughter, Suzanne (Stanley) Gary, Beavercreek, OH; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three nieces; and two nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a son John McGee; and a sister, Berdine Secaur.
Evelyn was a 1938 graduate of Rockford High School. She was employed by Mersmans and Reynolds & Reynolds from where she retired in 1977. She was a life member of St. John Lutheran Church, Celina.
Funeral services will begin at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 in St. John Lutheran Church, Celina, with Dr. Rev. Jeff Gramza, officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am-12:00 pm prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Rockford, OH.
