Homan, daughters see nation a half-marathon at a time

COLDWATER - He puts up with their "awful" music in the car while they respond to his demands to hurry up packing - a father and two of his daughters are learning more about each other while seeing America.
Greg Homan of Coldwater, a Mercer County commissioner and Wright State University-Lake Campus agricultural professor, and daughters Colby, a high school sophomore, and Shelby, a sixth-grader, in November began a quest to run half-marathons in 50 states. [More]

ST. HENRY - Thanks to an outpouring of community support, St. Henry EMS personnel are set to open their new building.
With much anticipation, squad personnel have invited the public to attend an April 30 open house to celebrate the new $900,000, 8,100-square-foot facility.
MINSTER - Saturday was a great day for track at the Minster Memorial Invitational.
It was also a great day for the Minster girls, who racked up top finishes in seven events en route to winning the team title with 137 1/2 points.
ROSSBURG - Nick Hoffman had been to Eldora Speedway victory lane before, having won four modified races at the high-banked, 1/2-mile oval.
