Verona Boecker
Verona Boecker age 92 of Minster passed at 4:05 AM on May 6, 2017 at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
She was born on September 18, 1924 in Fort Loramie to the late Fred & Cecelia (Dircksen) Hilgefort. She married Bernard L. Boecker on August 8, 1948 in Fort Loramie. He preceded her in death on January 20, 2000.
She is survived by children: Dr. Joseph Boecker, Purcell, OK, Robert & Barb Boecker, Alex, OK, Kate & Mark Moeller, New Bremen, Lucille & Jim Mertz, Minster and Bonita & Ken Holthaus, Minster, 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, brothers & sisters: Robert Hilgefort, Sidney, Louis & Phyllis Hilgefort, Fort Loramie, Rosemary Heitkamp, McCartyville, Louise Homan, Maria Stein.
She was preceded in death by sisters: Carolyn Bruns, Norma Post, Mary Ann Heitkamp, brother-in-law Hugo Post, Jerry Heitkamp, Norb Heitkamp, Dennis Homan and sister-in-law Rita Hilgefort.
Verona was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 AM Wednesday, May 10 at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Rev. Rick Nieberding celebrant. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at Hogenkamp Funeral Home Minster from 4-8 PM on Tuesday, May 9 and from 9 to 9:45 on Wednesday May 10.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Grand Lake Hospice.
