Thelma Gordon
Thelma M. Gordon, 79, St. Marys, OH died 2:40 a.m. Tuesday July 11, 2017 at Vancrest Nursing Home in St. Marys.
She was born May 28, 1938 in Middlesboro, KY to Walter and Azalee (Hatmacker) Evans. On May 11, 1957 in White Oak, TN she married Wade Gordon, who survives.
She is also survived by: daughter Pat (Wayne) Loyer of St. Marys, OH; daughter Cherry (Kevin) Koeper of St. Marys, OH; daughter Teresa (Tom) Maze of St. Marys, OH; 7 grandchildren: Joe (Natalie) Turpin, Luke (Sarah) Turpin, Amy (Mike) Sawmiller, Jen (James) Carpenter, Lainey (Jared) Greenbaum, Mason Maze, Logan Maze; and sister-in-law Shelby Pruitt of St. Marys, OH.
Preceded in death by: parents Walter and Azalee Evans; seven brothers and sisters; son-in-law Bud Turpin.
She was a homemaker and a member of Samaria Missionary Baptist Church in St. Marys.
Thelma was a true Southern lady who loved to cook and bake. Caring for her family was a priority and those close to her felt truly loved.
Services are scheduled to begin 11:00 a.m. Saturday July 15, 2017 at Samaria Missionary Baptist Church in St. Marys, with Pastor Jack Burns, officiating. Burial will follow at the Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.
Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West Chapel) in St. Marys.
