By Ed Gebert
CELINA - A 60-year old Celina man on Friday was sentenced to up to three years of community-control sanctions and ordered to surrender his interest in two parcels of land, totaling just over two acres on Mud Pike, after being convicted on drug charges.
In a plea agreement, Lloyd Fickert pleaded guilty to three fifth-degree felony charges of aggravated possession of drugs, one fifth-degree felony count of possession of marijuana and a misdemeanor count of permitting drug abuse.
In addition to his interest in the land, Fickert also forfeited a scale and several firearms.
Fickert was arrested Sept. 19 after Mercer County Sheriff's deputies and Celina police officers allegedly discovered two active methamphetamine-cooking operations, weapons, drugs and drug paraphernalia on his property at 2521 Mud Pike, Celina.
Also indicted on charges stemming from the investigation were Richard Craw, 4837 State Route 29, Celina; Kevin J. McDowell, 107 Bayview Drive, Celina; and Chester Sullivan, 123 E. Walnut St., Coldwater.
