* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Ruth Drees
Ruth K. (Frenzer) Drees, age 71, of Fort Loramie, passed away of natural causes early Friday morning, December 8, 2017, at Hospice of Miami County in Troy, Ohio.
Ruth had been seriously ill for six years; in that time she became an inspiration by her demonstration of strength and determination.
She was born September 5, 1946, in Cassella, Ohio, to the late Urban and Agatha (Tumbush) Frenzer. On April 1, 1967, at Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Cassella, Ruth married Vernon P. Drees who survives. Also surviving are two daughters: Robyn & Brian Arnold of Fort Loramie and Melinda "Mindy" & Jason Davenport of St. Paris; five grandchildren: Carson, Hollie and Addie Arnold and Kayla and Jonathon Davenport; four siblings: Dave & Karen Frenzer of Celina, Phyllis & Danny Martin of Celina, Joan & John Reeder of Lima, and Joe & Carol Frenzer of St. Henry; brothers & sisters-in-law: Fred Drees of Russia, William & Lois Drees of Vandalia, Louis & Jan Drees of Fort Loramie and Ray & Carol Drees of Fort Loramie along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Lou Homan and brothers & sisters-in-law, Dallas Homan, Eileen Drees, and Norma & Tom Gaier.
Ruth was a 1964 graduate of Marion Local High School. She retired in 2012 from Sears in Piqua and had previously been employed at the former Marwil Products in Fort Loramie. Ruth was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. She enjoyed interacting with her five grandchildren, fishing and testing her luck at horse races.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at St. Michael Church in Fort Loramie with Rev. Steven Shoup presiding. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday 2:00 to 7:00 PM and Wednesday 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie. Memorials may be made to the Fort Loramie Rescue Squad or Hospice of Miami County.
