Rescue training

Celina firefighters participate in search-and-rescue training in the house next to the library on Main Street on Wednesday afternoon. The firefighters work together to rescue a "victim" made of old fire hoses from the basement. Each firefighter was equipped to simulate a total blackout from smoke in a burning building. Fire chief Doug Wolters said the equipment weighs 50 pounds. He said firefighters must be aware of where they are in the house and how to get out.
