* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 630 PM EDT, radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

Pat Royse dies of complications from Alzheimer's disease

Veteran journalist Patricia Ann Royse, 79, who helmed The Daily Standard as managing editor for ten years, died Oct. 11, 2018, of complications from Alzheimer's disease, according to an obituary submitted by her son, David Vienna.
Royse earned a bachelor's degree in English and political science from Miami University, Oxford, before embarking on a decades-long career in journalism. [More]
Coldwater bows out of tournament with 2-1 loss

SPENCERVILLE - In the final match of the girls' soccer regular season, Coldwater and Spencerville played to a 2-2 draw.
Saturday's Division III sectional final was played until a winner was crowned.
After 80 minutes of regulation resulted in a 1-1 deadlock, it took nearly 24 minutes of overtime before the Bearcats got a rebound goal to advance with a 2-1 win over the Cavaliers at Memorial Field in Spencerville. [More]
