Helen Klosterman
Helen M. Klosterman age 102 of Montezuma passed away at 11:56 AM on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Briarwood Village, Coldwater.
She was born November 27, 1916 in St. Henry, Ohio to the late William Uhlenhake and Catherine (Link) Uhlenhake. She married Maurice Klosterman on October 22, 1938 at St. Henry Catholic Church, St. Henry, he died in 2009.
She is survived by children: Dale & Kathy Klosterman, Botkins, Glen & Luella Klosterman, Galena, Dottie Dickman, Minster, John & Linda Klosterman, St. Marys, Sally & Larry Aller, Lawton, OK. 19 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, and 31 great, great grandchildren and a special niece Pat Bricker.
She is preceded in death by siblings and in-laws, Rosina & Ernest Schwieterman, Arthur & Idell Uhlenhake, Armella & James Roebuck, Paul & Rose Marie Uhlenhake, and Alvin & Dorothy Uhlenhake. Paul & Alma Meyer, Robert & Dorothy Haber, James & Ethel Haren, Omer Klosterman, Rita Klosterman, Anita Klosterman. She was also preceded in death by her parents, daughter-in-law Bernice Klosterman, son-in-law Henry Dickman, great grandchild Nathan Lammers, and great, great grandchild Sara Klosterman.
Helen was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and was their oldest living member. In the past she was involved in the church helping with parish picnics, the parish bingo and a member and past officer of the Christian Mothers Ladies Sodality.
She was a homemaker and helped on the family farm. She loved to crochet and made a blanket for all the grandchildren and great grandchildren. Helen was Mother of the Year in May 2006 and was featured in The Daily Standard.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Our Lady of Guadalupe, Montezuma, Ohio. Burial will follow in the Our Lady of Guadalupe Church Cemetery.
Friends may call at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater from 2 to 8 on Wednesday, December 12 and from 9:00 to 9:45 on Thursday, December 13.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice State of the Heart, and Call Food Pantry.
