Norbert Kramer
Norbert R. Kramer, age 93 formerly of Chickasaw, died Thursday, December 13, 2018 at The Gardens at St. Henry.
He was born November 21, 1925 in Chickasaw, to the late Henry & Rosa (Holdheide) Kramer. On April 30, 1949 he married Alice (Steinke) Kramer and she died October 19, 2004.
Norb is survived by children, Bill Kramer of Columbus, Dave & Colleen Kramer of Bowling Green, Ken & Linda Kramer of Gahanna, Cindy & John Stucke of Chickasaw, Sue & Terry Thobe of Chickasaw, Dan & Chris Kramer of Maria Stein, and Maria & Mike Rethman of Maria Stein. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and one on the way, as well as in-laws, Lucille Kramer of Celina, Ellen Kramer of Chickasaw, Paul and Margie Steinke of Dayton, Millie Steinke of Tipp City, Jess and Shirley Steinke of Coldwater, and Ester and Tim Mattingly of Dayton.
He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Nancy Kramer, and siblings, Albin and Lucy Kramer, Leon Kramer, Othmar & Rose Kramer, Agnes & Elmer Knapke, Helen & Charles Connolly, Mary Ann Severt Overman, Werner & Marilyn Kramer, Andrew Kramer, Hilda Kramer and Alfrieda Kramer and in-laws, Roman Severt, Gene Overman, Charles and Armella Steinke, Jim Steinke, Alma and Lenard Clune, and Lily Steinke.
He was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church in Chickasaw, Knights of St. John #313, Maria Stein, the Maria Stein American Legion #571, and the Chickasaw V.F.W. Post #9019.
He was a veteran of the US Army serving during WWII. Norb served his community as a volunteer fire fighter for the Chickasaw Fire Dept. and retired from Tuente Livestock, who he delivered and drove for over 40 years. He was known by Norby to many area farmers.
Norb loved music and dancing, as well as pitching horseshoes, playing cards, and spending time with his family and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Monday, December 17, 2018 at Precious Blood Church with Fr. Tom Brenberger, officiating. Military rites will follow by the American Legion and V.F.W. Posts.
Friends may call from 1 to 5 pm Sunday and 9 to 10 am Monday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.
