Lorna Seas
Lorna Marie Seas - a loving and spirited mother, sister, wife, and friend - passed away Friday, October 5, 2018 at 1:27 AM in Grant Medical Center due to injuries sustained from a car accident.
Aged 53 at the time of her passing, she was born on March 6, 1965 in Coldwater, OH, the fifth child of six children.
She was raised nearby in Montezuma, OH on a farm by Mary Etta (neƩ Sutter) and Arthur Eyink and graduated from Celina High School in 1983, salutatorian of her class. During high school, Lorna competed in cross country and track and field, advancing to state multiple times. She attended St. Joseph's College in Rensselaer, Indiana, transferring after two years to Indiana State University in Terra Haute where she completed her B.S. degree in Nutrition in 1987. She ran on the cross country and track and field teams at both colleges. Running was one of Lorna's greatest passions.
Lorna worked as a dietitian at Joint Township Memorial Hospital, later Hagerstown Hospital, and lastly Wright Patterson Air Force Base from the time she graduated college until 1995. On January 14, 1989, Lorna married Richard Seas. After practicing as a registered dietitian for 8 years, she quit and became a stay-at-home mom committed to raising her blossoming family, which eventually grew to a size of 13.
In order, her children are Ryan, Michael, Christina, Lauren, Daniel, Matthew, Jennifer, Stephen, Katelyn, Samantha, and Nicholas. Throughout her years as a mother, Lorna coached distance running, read at Church, tended to flower and vegetable gardens, and read extensively at home.
Lorna can be most fondly remembered as an avid runner, a humble and patient mother who loves unconditionally, and a faithful Catholic who gave her life to God and her family.
Lorna's siblings are Dave Eyink (Sharon), Greg Eyink (Qiaoning), Nancy Hasabelnaby (Abdel-Hamid), Kurt Eyink (Jean), and Terry Eyink (Becky). Lorna is survived by all of her siblings, her children and her husband.
