Richard Livingston
Richard Leo "Rick" Livingston recently of Middletown, PA, died peacefully at home Friday, February 8th 2019.
Born June 20 1953 in Dayton, OH, he is survived by his mother Rose Livingston, his children: Jason P. Livingston of Middletown, PA, Jeremy W. Livingston of Hyden, KY and Emiliana Valdez of Celina, OH; 4 grandchildren: Chelsea of Hyden, KY and Dawn Elena, AnaLisa and Xander of Celina, OH, Also a sister, Rebecca (Livingston) Wilcock of Ottawa, IL.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Livingston.
Rick joined the Marines as a young man and though he wasn't able to serve long, he was always proud of his brief membership in that group. He sang and recorded country music with the group Cheyenne. He had a beautiful voice. Many people were fortunate to have listened to dulcet tones as he performed. He loved his job as an over the road truck driver and later worked with Radio Shack to install computers.
He enjoyed the simple things in life. NASCAR, wrestling, Marvin the Martian were among them. He was always happy and so pleased to spend time with his grandchildren as well his numerous nieces, nephews and their children. He was that favorite Uncle with the corny jokes. Rick could make everyone laugh.
Rick will be cremated and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery South East in Hyden, KY.
He is deeply missed.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Matinchek Funeral Home, 260 E. Main St. Middletown, PA 17057. Online condolences may be directed to the family by visiting the website: https://www.matinchekfuneralhome.com/.
