Lucreda McCormick, 68, of St. Marys, OH died 3:42 a.m. Monday March 18, 2019 at her residence.
She was born May 22, 1950 in Martin, KY to Douglas and Genevene (Chaffins) Prater. On August 1, 1970 in St. Marys, OH she married Donald McCormick, who survives.
Also survived by: son Daniel (Michelle) McCormick of St. Marys, OH; Son Durand McCormick of Celina, OH; 4 grandchildren: Kelsie McCormick, Albany McCormick, Kayla McCormick, Maci McCormick; sister Felsie Cassidy of Sidney, OH; brother Quentin (Susie) Prater of Lima, OH; sister Bonnie (Ronnie) Slone of St. Marys, OH; sister Thelma (Dennis) Fisher of St. Marys, OH; sister Patricia (David) Kohlhorst of St. Marys, OH; sister Lydia (Gary) Pennington of Sidney, OH; brother-in-law Kenny Rupert of Spencerville, OH.
Preceded in death by: parents Douglas and Genevene Prater; daughter Dawn Marie McCormick; sister Janice Foos; sister Mildred Rupert; brother Clayton Prater.
She had been employed at Northmoor Golf Course in Celina, OH and St. Marys Cotton Mill, Brodbeck's Supermarket (both in St. Marys) and Auglaize Acres Nursing Home in Wapakoneta, OH. Her favorite pastimes included quilting and making crafts. Above everything else, Lucreda enjoyed spending time with her extended family.
Rites are scheduled to begin 11:00 a.m. Saturday March 23, 2019 at Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West Chapel) in St. Marys, with the Rev. Robert Sweeney, officiating. Burial will follow at the Elm Grove Cemetery, in St. Marys.
Visitation 12:00 noon until 7:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
