Gary Moorman
Gary Lee Moorman, age 70 of Tipp City, passed away suddenly on May 28, 2019.
Gary was born in Celina, Ohio to the late Kenneth and Lucille Moorman. He graduated from Celina High School in 1967. After completing his education he entered into The Army National Guard. Gary met and married the love of his life, Elizabeth Linton in 1968. The two recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
Gary worked for many years in marketing at Reynolds and Reynolds. After 38 years of dedicated service he retired. Gary was very active in Dayton Wing Masters during his retirement. Gary enjoyed flying and working on RC planes in his free time. He was very active in his church, St. Christopher's, diligently working with the bereavement team and families in the church.
Gary never knew a stranger and was always willing to help a friend, neighbor, or stranger in need. He had a contagious smile and could always make you laugh. Gary was a loving, caring, and compassionate husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and dear friend. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Lucille Moorman.
Gary leaves to cherish his memory, loving wife of 50 years, Elizabeth Moorman; children, Jeff (Kathy) Moorman, Michelle (Jason) McClough, and Chris Moorman; grandchildren, Kendall, Matt, Zach, Danielle, Julia, Max, and McKenzie; brothers, Michael (Bianca) Moorman and Kenny Moorman; nephew, Sam; and numerous other loving relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Monday, June 3, 2019 at Newcomer-North Chapel (4104 Needmore Road, Dayton) from 5 pm-8 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place the following day, Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at 11 am at St. Christopher's Catholic Church (405 National Road, Vandalia). A private family burial will take place at a later date at the Mercer Memory Garden in Celina, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gary's honor to Dayton Wing Masters to assist with the field cleanup after the storms.
