Ruth Stoepfel
Ruth Eileen Stoepfel, age 79, of Celina, Ohio passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2019, at the Laurels of Shane Hill in Rockford.
She was born on July 1, 1940 in Celina, Ohio to the late George Jacob and Matilda Rose (Leugers) Maier. On June 27, 1959 she married Cletus D. Stoepfel, who died in 2014.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law David F. (Jennifer) Stoepfel of Grove City, PA, daughters and sons-in-law Angela E. (John) Caywood of Neptune, Rosann (Joey) Garwood of Celina, 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, sister Mary Jo Colson, brothers and sisters-in-law James Maier, Dallas (Linda) Maier, Richard (Patricia) Maier and Phyllis Maier all of Celina.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Robert Maier, sister-in-law Shirley Maier, and brother-in-law Dick Colson.
She graduated from Celina High School with the Class of 1958. She retired from Reynolds and Reynolds in Celina, after 45 years of service, in 2003. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina. She was in the Celina Ladies Bowling League, enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2019, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, with Fr. Kenneth Schnipke C.PP.S. officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Celina.
Friends may call from 2:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday July 17, 2019 and from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Thursday morning, at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina.
