Luella Klenke
Luella Klenke age 97 formerly of Osgood passed away at 10:47 PM on Monday, October 14, 2019 at Elmwood Assisted Living, New Bremen.
She was born May 8, 1922 in St. Rose, Ohio to the late Clemence & Cecelia (Heyne) Kunk. She married Othmar J. Klenke on November 3, 1945 in St. Rose and he preceded her in death on August 5, 2003.
She is survived by son Jerry & Ruth Klenke, Henderson, NV, daughter Linda Schmalz & Michael Rose, The Villages, FL, 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, brother Leo Kunk, Arizona.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law Larry Schmalz and six siblings.
Luella was a former member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Osgood. She loved to play cards and sew. Luella made hundreds of quilts for veterans.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 18, 2019 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Osgood with Rev. David Howard celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Martin Cemetery.
Friends may call at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, October 17 and from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Friday.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Rita's Hospice and Elmwood Activity Fund.
