Drugs suspected in death of woman

CELINA - Police who began investigating a death on Friday believe drugs may have been a factor.
At about 6:31 p.m. Friday, Celina police and EMS personnel responded to a report of an unresponsive female at 440 Touvelle St., Lot 33, according to a police department news release. Upon arrival, responders found Merissa Fetters, 26, St. Marys, inside the residence. She reportedly was not breathing.
Life-saving measures reportedly were performed on Fetters, and she was taken to Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater. Medical personnel could not revive her, however. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident. Police say the death appears to be accidental, and they suspect drugs were involved, according to the news release. Anyone with information connected to this incident are urged to contact Celina police detectives at 419-586-2345.
