Bonnie Lautzenheiser
Bonnie D. Lautzenheiser, 82, of Rockford, died Friday, March 6, 2020, at the Laurels of Shane Hill where she was a patient. She was born March 7, 1937, in Rockford, Ohio, the daughter of Kermit and Fern (Caffee) Stetler, both who are deceased.
She was a 1955 graduate of Willshire High School, in Willshire, Ohio. She was married to Kenneth L. Lautzenheiser on September 24, 1955, and he preceded on April 3, 2006.
Bonnie was a homemaker and lived her entire life in the area. She was very active in the Zion Lutheran Church, Chattanooga, Ohio, where she was the treasurer for many years and also taught Sunday school and bible school. She was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds and the Parkway basketball games She and some of her friends organized a Couponing Club, where they would get together once a month at one of their homes and swap coupons and have fun! Those were the days when they had the double and triple coupons and could actually get items free! She loved to bake and was famous for her delicious cloverleaf rolls. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, and especially her grand and great grand children.
Surviving are her three children: Ted Lautzenheiser of Hudson Wisconsin, Barb (Calvin) Young of Rockford, and Darren (Michelle) Lautzenheiser of Decatur, Indiana; 6 grandchildren: C.J. Young, Shane (Hillary) Young, Brady Stevens, Jacob Stevens, Ryan Lautzenheiser, and Lyndsey Lautzenheiser, and 10 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, Kirby (Judy) Stetler of Chattanooga, Ohio and a sister, Nancy Symonds of Orlando; sisters-in law: Becky, Betty, and Sharon Lautzenheiser; and brothers-in-law, Phil (Judi) Lautzenheiser and Doc (Rose) Lautzenheiser.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at 1:00 p.m., at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, Ohio, with Vicar Adam Poe officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Chattanooga, Ohio.
Friends may call on Tuesday, prior to the service, from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Memorials may be directed to the church or to State of the Heart Hospice.
