ROCKFORD - Several Rockford community leaders on Monday explained how COVID-19 has affected village life and encouraged residents to continue supporting local businesses.

  CELINA - In response to the rapidly changing COVID-19 situation, the Mercer County Health District has increased its incident command system structure to full activation.
As of Monday, 3,487 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 68 deaths were reported in 49 states. Ohio reported 50 confirmed cases and 14 hospitalizations due to the virus. District officials report no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the county. [More]

COLUMBUS (AP) - Ohio called off its presidential primary just hours before polls were set to open there and in three other states, an 11th-hour decision the governor said was necessary to prevent further fueling the coronavirus pandemic that has paralyzed the nation.
Fort Recovery takes steps to thwart virus
FORT RECOVERY - Village council members suspended the rules and declared an emergency in placing a measure seeking the renewal of an operating levy on the Nov. 2 general election ballot.
FORT RECOVERY - School board members discussed a proposed busing policy during Monday's meeting.
Superintendent Larry Brown said the plan has been in the works for a while, noting busing has been a topic of discussion since 2018.

CELINA - A West Chester man pleaded not guilty on Monday to 13 felony charges, including engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, theft, receiving stolen property and forgery.
MINSTER - Minster Local Schools officials have implemented plans for students to follow during the three-week shutdown due to the coronavirus.
