Closed doctors' offices, fear of coronavirus blamed
WAPAKONETA - Fewer childhood immunizations have been administered during the COVID-19 pandemic, putting U.S. children at an increased risk for outbreaks of vaccine-preventable diseases, a local health official said.
No new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Mercer or Auglaize County on Tuesday.
The Mercer County Health District in a news release reported 235 confirmed cases, 178 people who have recovered, 42 pending tests, 821 negative test results, seven hospitalizations and eight deaths from COVID-19.
