Beautiful weather made for good golfing as the Lima Junior Golf Association made its summer tour stop at Celina Lynx Golf Club on Thursday.
The course was perfect for Ellen Naumann as the St. Henry grad and 2019 tour Girls Golfer of the Year won her second straight tournament in the girls' 16-18 division.
Naumann shot a 3-over 75 to pick up the victory. Fort Recovery's Jalyn Bruns was close behind in second with an 80. LCC standout Bridget Mulcahy tied for third with Shawnee's Madilyn Paphanchith.
Minster's Layne Voisard finished ninth with a 99. Fort Recovery's Shelby Stammen shot a 102 to round out the top 10. Coldwater's Laney Finke was 11th with a 103 while St. Henry's Courtney Clune was 15th with a 114.
In the boys' 16-18 division, Fort Loramie's Adam Ballas, the reigning Shelby County Golfer of the Year, edged out LCC's Mary Kelly Mulcahy to win with a 77. Mulcahy won a five-player playoff to take second after she, her twin sister Erin Mucahy, Minster's Jospeh Magoto, Ottawa-Glandorf's Carter Schimmoeller and Elida's Carson Harmon each shot a 79.
St. Marys' Cole Koenig finished tied for fifth with an 81. Fellow Roughrider Reese Sweigart finished tied for 11th with an 87. Teammate Brett Speckman tied for 15th with a 95. Parkway's Kaden Boroff was 24th with a 122. Coldwater's Hayden Beougher took 25th with a 136.
