Edward Deitsch
Edward Deitsch, age 75, of Celina, Ohio, passed away at 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at the Celina Manor Nursing Home.
He was born on July 30, 1944 at the Naval Hospital in San Diego, California and was later adopted by Edward and Wilma (Weitz) Deitsch, who proceeded him in death.
Edward joined the United States Marine Corps and upon serving his four years, worked in the home improvement industry throughout the tri-state and Texas. He retired in 2001 and settled in Celina.
Edward enjoyed studying martial arts under Mast Ming in Dayton, Ohio, and achieved numerous black belts in different disciplines. He was honored to be a member of the Celina Masonic Lodge #241 F&AM and received his 32nd Degree as a Mason. He took his membership in the lodge seriously.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home, with Rev. Richard Van Horn officiating. Edward will be buried in the Dayton National Cemetery at a later date.
Friends may call from 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m., before services at the Funeral Home. Attendees are asked to follow social distancing and guidelines dictated by the Ohio Department of Health, due to the National Health Concerns of COVID-19.
