Melvin Crouch
Melvin Lewis Crouch, age 87, of Celina Ohio, passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at the Lima Memorial Hospital in Lima. He was born on September 8, 1932 in Celina, Ohio to the late Arlie and Retta (Cole) Crouch.
On June 8, 1957 he married his first wife Lula (Carter) Crouch, whom proceeded him in death in 1980. On May 17, 1986, he married Madonna Pennsinger, who survives living in Celina.
He is also survived by his children Robert (Jackie) Crouch of Celina, Debra (Roger) Claybaugh of Celina, Carol (John) Gehle of Vandalia, Donna (Jason) Andrews of Celina, Pam (Gary) Boyd of Celina, Sue (Tim) Shultz of Portland, IN and Bruce (Vicki) Myers of Lemon Lake, IN. He has eighteen Grandchildren, thirty-nine Great Grandchildren and one Great-Great Grandchild and a sister Evelyn Crouch of Celina.
Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, one brother Paul Crouch and two sisters Ruth Crouch, Betty Crouch, two Granddaughters Megan Jeffries and Amber Kirchenbauer.
He graduated from Celina High School with the Class of 1950. In 1953 he proudly served his country in the United States Army, as a Corporal until 1955. Melvin retired from Reynolds & Reynolds in Celina. He was a member of the Wapakoneta Community Worship Center. Melvin enjoyed woodworking and pitching horse shoes, with his family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina, with Pastor Jerry Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Mercer Memory Gardens Cemetery in Celina, with Military Honors provided by the Celina American Legion Post #210 and the Celina V.F.W. Post #5713.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 and an hour before services on Wednesday. Attendees are asked to follow social distancing and guidelines dictated by the Ohio Department of Health, due to the National Health Concerns of COVID-19.
