At 837 PM EDT, radar indicated that a tornado-producing storm was located over New Knoxville, moving east at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Damaging tornado.
SOURCE...Weather spotters confirmed tornado. At 8:35 PM, a tornado was reported just west of New Knoxville.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.
Locations impacted include... Wapakoneta, Fort Shawnee, Cridersville, Botkins, Lakeview, New Knoxville, Waynesfield, Moulton, Uniopolis, Fryburg, New Hampshire, and St. Johns.
This includes I-75 in Ohio between mile markers 106 and 118.

Paul Johnsman
Paul C. Johnsman, age 69, of Celina, passed away unexpectedly on Friday afternoon, August 21, 2020, in the Emergency Room at Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater. Born November 17, 1950, in Celina, Paul was the oldest child of Arnold A. & Esther C. (Guggenbiller) Johnsman. His parents and a sister, Doris Goettemoeller, preceded him in death.
Paul and Jayne M. Laux were married on August 2, 1975. Jayne survives, along with their son & daughter: Adam (Julie) Johnsman of Celina and Audrey (Travis) Nuttle of Rockford, four grandchildren: Chloe, Gavin & Ariel Johnsman and Dylan Nuttle, and a brother & sister: Bill (Karen) Johnsman of Englewood and Patty Baucher of Coldwater.
Also surviving are brothers & sisters-in-law: Charlie Goettemoeller of Coldwater, and Randy (Denise) Laux, Ted (Denise) Laux, Malissa (Rob) Homan, Nick (Myra) Laux, Todd Laux and Theresa (Chris) Wurster, all of Celina and Laura Laux of Gallatin, TN, and many nieces & nephews.
His parents-in-law, Kenny & Marie (Hole) Laux, also preceded
him in death.
Paul was a 1969 graduate of Immaculate Conception High School in Celina, and earned an Associate's Degree in Architectural Design from ITT in Dayton. Retiring after 30 years in general construction with Alexander & Bebout of Van Wert, Paul had also worked at New Idea and Pet Milk in Coldwater, and for Casad in St. Marys.
A truly devout member of Immaculate Conception Church, Paul was a very religious man, spending much time in prayer. He was a train enthusiast and enjoyed woodworking. Paul liked traveling to Holmes County, Ohio and the Smoky Mountains. But most of all, enjoyed spending time with his family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 26, at Immaculate Conception Church in Celina, with Fr. Tim McFarland, C.PP.S. and Deacon Charlie Salway presiding.
Calling Hours are 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 25, and from 9:30-10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina.
Those attending are required to wear masks, practice social distancing as much as possible, and follow the COVID-19 guidelines established by the Ohio Department of Health and Governor DeWine.
