Quaker abolitionist August Wattles led 15 black families north from Cincinnati in 1835 after race riots erupted due to the passage of an 1807 law that required the registration of black people to discourage black settlement.
CELINA - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Mercer County increased by 12 on Friday, raising the county's total to 783.
In Auglaize County, 10 new confirmed cases increased that county's total to 392.

After having two apparent touchdowns called back on penalties in the third quarter, the Celina Bulldogs made sure they got it right when time was tight.
