The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Michael Pyles
Dr. Michael Curry Pyles, originally of Beckley, WV, died on October 9th, 2020 at home.
He was born on August 22nd, 1952 to parents Curry and Margaret (Cole) Pyles. He met his wife Susan Sturm of Sidney, OH at Grandview Hospital in Dayton and they were married in July 1989.
He is survived by his son Jonathan (Caitlin) Pyles (Columbus, OH), daughter Olivia Pyles (Columbus, OH), and granddaughter Skylar Pyles (Taylor, TX), along with many cherished friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife Susan, mother Margaret, father Curry, and sisters Penelope and Pamela.
Michael was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Beckley, WV. He then enlisted in the Marine Corps and served honorably during the Vietnam War. After completing his service, he attended West Virginia University and subsequently earned his medical degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine.
He owned Pyles Family Practice in St. Marys, OH until retirement. Afterward he attended the Pennsylvania Gunsmith School in Pittsburgh, PA to become a licensed gunsmith. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with friends.
Graveside funeral rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 19, 2020, at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5251 Robert C Byrd Drive, Beckley, West Virginia.
Friends may call from 12:00 noon until 3:00 P.M. Saturday at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys.
