Pumpkin poetry
Photo by Dan Melograna/The Daily Standard
Three of the happiest pumpkins
You'll ever meet
Stand watch on a porch
On South Leblond Street.
One is a cat or alien
Or strange combination.
It's scary and funny,
A creative sensation.
It's a cheeky pumpkin
That dares wink an eye.
Does it know that its innards
Will soon be a pie?
Of the third Jack-O-Lantern,
Little is known.
It was shy 'round the camera
Which is why it's not shown.
