Margaret Strawn-Agler
Margaret Louise Strawn-Agler, age 81, formerly of Mendon, passed away Tuesday morning, January 19, 2021, at the Halifax Health - Hospice Care Center in Port Orange, Florida.
She was born April 6, 1939, in Dayton, to the late John Kline Sr. and Della (Cotterman) Kline.
Margaret and Tennyson Strawn were wed on August 21, 1955, and he preceded her in death March 6, 2003. She married Bill Agler on January 13, 2009, and he passed away May 30, 2014.
Surviving are her 5 children: Cheryl (Mike) Zumberge, Dennis (Betty) Strawn and Rhonda (Mick) Stose, all of Celina, John (Denise) Strawn of Mendon, and Christina (Shaun) Ritter of Celina, 16 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and 2 brothers & a sister: Ed Kline of Alliance, Tommy Kline of Van Wert, and Shirley Trammell of Paulding.
Margaret was preceded in death by 8 brothers & sisters: Ernie Kline, Deloris Cotterman, Hazel Roberts, Iona Roberts, Chuck Kline, Ronnie Kline, Johnny Kline and an infant brother, Steven.
She attended Mendon-Union High School, and had worked at Tuway in Rockford, then retired from Huffy Bicycles after 35 years of service. Margaret was a member of Mendon First Church of God and the Red Hat Society.
She liked to crochet, making many blankets for her family. Margaret enjoyed playing BINGO and BUNCO, and spending time with her "other family" in Florida, where she wintered for the last 20 years.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, January 26, at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, with Pastor Jake Boroff officiating.
Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.
Calling Hours are 1:00-3:00 & 5:00-7:00 P.M., Monday, January 25, and 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, at the Funeral Home in Celina.
Those attending are required to wear masks, practice social distancing as much as possible, and follow the COVID-19 guidelines established by Governor DeWine and the Ohio Department of Health.
