Connie Fruchey
Connie S. Fruchey, 61, of Wapakoneta, OH passed away on February 15, 2021 at Mercy Health-St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, due to a heart attack.
She was born January 4, 1960 in Coldwater to the late Alexander Norbert and Rita Mary (Roessner) Koesters. On January 30, 2009, she married her husband, Dean A. Fruchey, who survives in Wapakoneta.
Connie has two beautiful daughters, Shannon Baldwin and Alicia Hatcher, both of Fairborn, OH; grandchildren, Cayden, Jenna and Aurora Baldwin; brothers and sisters Virginia and Herbert Nieport of Ansonia, OH; Robert (dec) and Bonita Koesters of Greenville, OH; Norbert and Mary Lou Koesters of Minster, OH; Paul and Jeanne Koesters of Mount Dora, FL; Irene Koesters (dec); Joseph and Vera Koesters of Celina, OH; Jane and Donald Prenger of Minster, OH; Rose and Gary Thieman of Minster, OH; Carl and Catherine Koesters of Fort Recovery, OH; Teresa and Steve Wacker of Minster, OH; Roger and Nancy Koesters of Celina, OH; Gordon and Marge Luedeke of New Bremen, OH; an Aunt, Patricia Harlett of St. Henry, OH; stepdaughter, Sandra Cheek, Dayton, OH; step grandchildren, Chance, Paris, and Vanna Cheek; and numerous other valued family members and friends.
Connie was a 1978 graduate of St. Henry High School. From May 1984-March 1988, Connie honorably served in the United States Air Force, achieving the rank of Senior Airman. During her service as a Materials Storage and Distributions Specialist she toured in Okinawa, Japan. After her service she raised two daughters whom she loved very deeply. Her place of employment was Wannemacher Enterprises Inc. in Lima, OH. She attended Holy Rosary Catholic church in St. Marys, OH.
Connie's bright and generous heart lit up every room she entered. She made people smile with her enthusiastic dancing and warmed everyone's heart with her hearty laugh. She never hesitated to make friends with anyone, even strangers and was always willing to help others. One of the hardest working women you would ever meet, she always held a minimum of two jobs at a time and at times as many as four. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and many friends and family.
Connie lived by and instilled within anyone she met that "it's not value, but values," that are the most important measure of a life well-lived. Our mother cared for everyone she met but took nothing.
A Celebration of Life Mass will be held at Saint Aloysius Church in Carthagena, OH on Saturday, April 10th, 2021.
Memorial contributions can be sent to: 3225 Boxwood Dr. Fairborn, OH 45324.
