Imogene Campbell
Imogene Campbell, 86, of St. Marys Twp., passed away at 6:55 a.m. Monday July 5, 2021 at her residence.
She was born January 20, 1935 in Cannel City, KY to Green and Dora (Stacey) Elam. On March 17, 1967 in Dayton, OH she married Thomas W. Campbell, who survives.
Also survived by: son Richard (Patty) Craft of West Milton, OH; daughter Debra (Scott) Hamilton of St. Marys, OH; daughter Marie Campbell of Frederick, MD; son Thomas Campbell of Brookville, OH; adopted daughter Roxanne (Karl) Fahringer of Ludlow Falls, OH; 6 grandchildren: Ricky (Shari), Ronnie, Michael, Tiffanie (Jimmy), Nicole and Josh; 4 great-grandchildren: Haley, Quintan, Kinzey and Korbin; 1 great-great-grandchild: Lincoln; many step great grandchildren; sister Mary Elam of West Liberty, OH; brother James Elam of Cannel City, KY; brother Lester Elam of Salyersville, KY; many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by: parents Green and Dora Elam; son Ronnie Craft; son Mark Campbell; seven brothers and sisters.
Imogene was known by most as Mom, Nanny, or Imo. She worked as a waitress at the Dutch Pantry Restaurant in Englewood, OH for many years. Following retirement, she and Tom moved permanently to their home on Grand Lake St. Marys.
Imogene will be remembered for her friendly and outgoing personality. Her favorite pastimes included bowling, boating and spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and her many friends. She was a huge fan of the Kentucky Wildcats basketball and Ohio State University football teams. When not hosting family gatherings, Imogene and Tom enjoyed traveling the country, cruises, snowmobiling and boating at Lake Cumberland with their many friends.
Services are scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. Friday July 9, 2021 at the Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West) in St. Marys. Pastor Randy Pettit will officiate the services. Burial will follow at the Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.
Visitation 12:00 noon - 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
