FORT WAYNE - In a span of four years, Mindy Cook has gone from learning about the game of goalball to preparing to represent her country on the highest level of competition.
Cook, a 2007 Celina High School graduate, will get that opportunity in August when she competes as a member of the United States women's goalball team at the Paralympics in Tokyo. [More]
ST. MARYS - No contact advisories for three beaches on Grand Lake have been lifted after water samples from the past two weeks showed microcystin levels lower than the state's threshold.
The beach at the Grand Lake St. Marys State Park campgrounds and the East and West beaches had advisories placed on them after noticeable algae blooms along the northern shores of the lake. [More]
CELINA - Republic Services officials considered creating a new cell to extend the life of Celina Sanitary Landfill in Franklin Township but ultimately determined the move wouldn't make sense, said operations manger Michael Krutsinger.
CHICKASAW - Councilors at Wednesday night's meeting approved a contract with a St. Marys paving company to patch portions of village streets.
