He retired after 33 years of service at Goodyear Saint Marys, and later worked at Bud's Chevrolet. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Saint Marys, and he liked to read, watch TV, play Scrabble and spend time with his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his holiday "cup art" creations that he made with styrofoam cups pushed into the fence of his home at the corner of Wayne and Jackson Streets in Saint Marys, and for his trademark suspenders that he wore daily. He had a great personality and loved to laugh!
