Emergency responders were called to 494 Skeels Road, Celina, shortly after 5:30 p.m. Tuesday after a man's body was found in a pond at the property.
CELINA - Deputies say no foul play is believed to be involved after a man's body was pulled from a pond at 494 Skeels Road, Celina, Tuesday evening.
Mercer County sheriff's deputies were called to the site at approximately 5:37 p.m. Tuesday, after people reported finding a male in a pond at the property.
According to Deputy Kyle Fink, family members had made dinner and went to look for the man, identified as 54-year-old William Bruggeman.
The family reportedly found him in the pond and, upon pulling him out, found he had no pulse.
Fink said that while he was unsure how Bruggeman ended up in the pond, foul play is not suspected. Bruggeman's body has been released to a funeral home, and Fink said it was his understanding no autopsy would be performed.
The case remains open for now, according to Fink.
