Linda Bash
Linda Hoffman Bash of Findlay, OH passed away on November 27, 2021. Linda was born on November 4, 1948 in Richmond, VA to Edwin Williamson and Dorothy (Berlin) Jones and they preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Edwin Williamson Jones, Jr. Linda was a 1966 graduate of St. Gertrude High School in Richmond, VA.
Linda married William Gene Hoffman in New Orleans, LA on March 19, 1977 and he preceded her in death on October 21, 2013. They were married for 36 years. On October 31, 2015 Linda married Harry Elden Bash, MD in Findlay, OH and he survives. They were married for six years.
Linda is also survived by her son, Daniel Anthony (Holli) Nienaber, Jr. of Glen Allen, VA and a daughter, Lauren Elizabeth (Dan) Garman of St. Henry, OH. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren; Alex Harris, Ruby Nienaber, Daniel Nienaber, II all of Glenn Allen, VA and Jasper, Brooks, Radley, and Tillie Garman of St. Henry, OH. She is also survived by her niece, Tinna Moxley of Richmond, VA. In addition, she is survived by Harry's children, Bridget (Rob) Hammer of Findlay, OH, Brian (Jenn) Bash, of Powell, OH and Breanne (Charlie) Frankart of Findlay, OH. And their children; Rachel, Evan and Will Hammer, Colin and Nora Bash, and Wyatt, Eli, and Miles Frankart.
Linda was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church and the Rosary Altar Society. She also served in the Bereavement Ministry. She was a member of Nature's Housekeepers Garden Club and enjoyed many friendships with others who enjoyed the love of gardening. Linda was also a volunteer with Home Health and Hospice and a member of the BVH Auxiliary Twig 4. She and her family were enjoying a beautiful Thanksgiving holiday at a vacation house in Hocking Hills Ohio when she suffered a massive brain hemorrhage on Friday 11/25. She was taken by EMS to Hocking Hospital and subsequently Life-Flighted to Riverside Hospital in Columbus where she passed away the next day in the Neuro-Intensive Care Unit on Saturday 11/27 in spite of the best medical care and treatment all the way through. She died peacefully surrounded by her family. We are deeply indebted to all who gave us their very best during this critical time. Her love of life, easy going nature, and desire to help others will be deeply missed.
The family will receive friends at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home on Friday December 10, 2021 from 2:00-8:00PM with a Rosary recited at 8:00PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Monsignor Michael Hohenbrink on December 11, 2021 at 10:00AM, with concelebrants: Fr. Frank Kehres, Fr. Timothy Kummerer, Fr. John Missler, Fr. Jim Brown, and Fr. Scott Woods. Burial will be at St. Michael Cemetery, Findlay.
