David Breymaier
David Alan Breymaier, 85, of Fort Recovery, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Van Wert Health in Van Wert, Ohio.
He was born on February 6, 1936, in Fort Recovery, Ohio, to the late David and Mary (Yaeger) Breymaier.
Dave was a 1954 graduate of Fort Recovery High School. After graduation, he joined the United States Army, serving his country honorably. Upon returning to the US, Dave attended Wright State University, where he earned his associates degree in business. He worked for Reynolds and Reynolds in Celina for 36 years, until his retirement in 1998. When he was not in the office, Dave could be found on his farm tending to his cattle and raising crops.
Family meant the world to Dave; his grandchildren and great grandchildren always lit up his face. He enjoyed spending time with them and watching them grow up. Dave was an avid Fort Recovery sports fan. He attended many games over the years rooting for the Indians. He was a busy body and was always working or helping others in the community. Dave was a devout Christian and an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Recovery, where he served in many roles. Dave dedicated his life to serving the church when he could. He was a Deacon, occasionally gave sermons, served on church council, taught Sunday School, provided snow removal, and completed building maintenance.
A celebration of Dave's life will take place at 10:30 AM on Friday, December 17, 2021, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Recovery, with Pastor Robin Owen officiating. Burial, with full military honors, will follow in Springhill Cemetery.
Guests may visit with Dave's family on Thursday, December 16, 2021, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Brockman Boeckman Funeral Home in Fort Recovery, and again on Friday from 9:15 AM until 10:15 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church.
