James Stammen
James E. Stammen, age 66, of Coldwater died peacefully Friday, December 31, 2021 surrounded by family at his home.
He was born on September 12, 1955 in Coldwater to the late Virgil & Marcella (Heuker) Stammen. On September 10, 1976 he married Brenda (Rammel) and she survives in Coldwater.
He is also survived by three children, Jamie (Becky) Stammen of Coldwater, Brian (Angie) Stammen of St. Henry and Stephanie (Matthew) Magoteaux of Hilliard; grandchildren, Alexis, Grace, and Carson Stammen, Dustin, Elijah, Jaiden, Parker, and the late Trevor Stammen, Tenley and Reid Magoteaux; siblings, Linda (Dave) Fink of Celina, Mary (Ron) Goettemoeller of Celina, Joyce (Les) Heitkamp of St. Rose, Lloyd (Carol) Stammen of Ft. Recovery, Vernon (Deb) Stammen of Covington, Alice (Dan) Goubeaux of Ansonia, Gina (Dave) Wasson of Union City, IN, Doris (Von) Ebeling of Union City, OH, Jeff (Jeanie) Stammen of Union City, IN; Mother-in-law Norma Rammel of Coldwater and the late Harold Rammel; and in-laws, Don (Alice) Rammel of Ft. Recovery, Mike (Deb) Rammel of Rossburg, Terry Rammel of Rossburg, Tammy (Keith) Fields of Union City, IN and Melissa (Dave) Dirmeyer of Ft. Recovery.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and worked for H.A. Dorsten in Minster since he was 18 totaling 48 years. He was a 1973 graduate of Mississinawa High School. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to all of his family and friends to keep their homes in working condition. Jim enjoyed spending time with his family and following his grandchildren's sports and activities. He and his wife enjoyed traveling with their buddies taking yearly vacations across the country. He enjoyed following the OSU Buckeyes, Cincinnati Reds, and the Cincinnati Bengals. He never met a stranger and was loved by everyone he met.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am, Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Holy Trinity Church, Coldwater. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 pm on Tuesday and 9 to 10 am Wednesday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
