Mary Faller
Mary Alice Faller, 88, of Rossburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at the Gardens at St. Henry.
She was born on June 12, 1933, in Wendelin, Ohio, to the late John and Cordula (Guggenbiller) Post.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Faller, whom she married on October 30, 1954 and passed away on March 3, 2014; her grandsons, Neil Schmitz, Ryan Kunk, and Andy Faller; her two great grandchildren, Rayne Schmitz and Baby Bihn; her siblings, Rita (Herman) Nerderman, Eugene (Esther) Post, Gregor (Esther) Post, Alma (Orville) Ranly, Agnes (Paul) Fullenkamp, Zeno (Delores) Post, Zita (Henry) Drees, Ben Post, Hugo (Norma) Post, Alvin (Alice) Post, and Rosie Vondrell.
Mary was a 1947 graduate of St. Henry High School. She loved her family and dedicated her life to caring for them. Mary loved to spoil her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and she rarely missed their school events. She liked to sew and crochet, and was known for her great cooking and baking. Each year, Mary would put out a large garden and would then can her produce to share with her entire family and friends. In her free time, Mary enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and playing the piano. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Sharpsburg and the church's Lady Sodality.
Mary is survived by her children, Mike (Anita) Faller of Geneva, Indiana, Mark (Priscilla) Faller of Huber Heights, Ohio, Jane (Scott) Hole of Celina, Ohio, Judy (Tom) Wentworth of Rossburg, Ohio, Connie (Bob) Kunk of Coldwater, Ohio, Steve (Ginger) Faller of Greenville, Ohio, Margie (Rick) Young of Waverly Hall, Georgia, Missy (Gordie) Schmitz of New Weston, Ohio, Nick Faller of Bradenton, Florida, and Amy (Chris) Bihn of Fort Recovery, Ohio; her 35 grandchildren and 49 great grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Joan Post of Wendelin, Ohio; her brother-in-law, Leon Vondrell of Fort Recovery, Ohio; and her in-laws, Ruth Ann Cross, Virginia "Ginny" Schwieterman, Kathleen Faller, and Betty Faller.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 AM on Friday, March 4, 2022, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Sharpsburg. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Guests may visit with Mary's family on Thursday, March 3, 2022 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again on Friday from 9:00 AM until 9:45 AM, at Brockman Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
