Florence Bruns
Florence E. Bruns, age 93, of Coldwater, and formerly of Cranberry Prairie, Ohio died Sunday, February 27, 2022, at her home.
She was born July 19, 1928, in Covington, to the late Leo & Josephine (Watren) Richard. On October 7, 1950, she married Robert E Bruns and he died November 10, 2017.
Florence is survived by children: Mike & Mary Bruns of Chickasaw, Jim & Ellen Bruns of Celina, Dave & Judy Bruns of Celina, Dan & Martha Bruns of Coldwater, Steve & Julie Bruns of Conover, Jerry & Cindy Bruns of St. Henry, Randy & Rosie Bruns of Coldwater, and Nanette & Jerry Stachler of Celina; 28 grandchildren; 80 great grandchildren and two on the way. She is also survived by siblings and in-laws: Theresa Arkenberg of Ft. Loramie, Gene & Dorothy Richard of Versailles, Ruth Richard of McCartyville, Dennis Bruns and Lillie Bruns both of Cranberry Prairie, Judy & Edgar Bills of Montezuma. She is preceded in death by a daughter Cynthia, siblings and in-laws: Marie & Gene Farrer, Floyd & Toni Richard, Wilma Richard, Cletus & Evelyn Richard, Rita & Ray Fullenkamp, Leroy & Dorothy Richard, Mary & Pete Ecabert, Bob & Wilma Richard, Paul Richard, Ben Arkenberg, Rosemary & Tom Cordonnier, John (Jack) Bruns, Jean Fortman, Bob Fortman, and Betty Bruns, and her father and mother-in-law Ernest & Alvina Bruns.
Florence was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Cranberry Prairie, and later attended Holy Trinity Church in Coldwater. Florence and her husband Bob had a special place in their hearts for St. Charles Center, and they enjoyed traveling, especially going to Florida. They also frequently traveled to Haiti to help with orphanages and schools. She was a homemaker, a hard worker, a prayer warrior, and a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 4, 2022, at St. Francis Church, Cranberry Prairie. Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery.
Friends may call 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday and 9:00 to 10:00 am Friday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.
