Workers from St. Marys General Services dismantle the pedestrian bridge over the Miami-Erie Canal Thursday morning in St. Marys. The bridge will be taken to the landfill, sandblasted, re-painted and then re-installed at a location yet to be determined, said Greg Foxhoven, city safety and service director. The bridge was removed in preparation for the construction of the new municipal building. The pedestrian bridge is no longer needed because the new building will have a plaza area on the side with steps that lead down to the South Street parking lot.
