Kendall Dieringer
St. Marys
5-8 Senior Guard
4.6 PPG, 3.5 Rebounds, 5.1 Assists, 3.9 Steals
As a senior, Dieringer dominated on both sides of the court, combining scoring versatility with airtight defense.
Dieringer held down her role as St. Marys' primary ball-handler, powering the offense with her ability to drive the lane for easy buckets or kickout looks for teammates Noelle Ruane, Cora Rable and Reese Rable. When defenses kept her from getting to the hoop, Dieringer could pull up and shoot behind the arc, hiting 36 threes.
On the other end, coach Jon Burke compared her to 2019 Ottawa-Glandorf grad Erin Kaufman as one of the best on-ball defenders in the Western Buckeye League.
Dieringer, who was named to the all-WBL and all-district first teams, scored her 1,000th point on a free throw late in the third quarter of a 53-46 win over Bryan on Jan. 22. In the tournament, she scored 34 points over four games as the Roughriders reached the district final.
