Paul Schroer
Paul H. Schroer, age 87, of St. Henry, died on Monday, March 21, 2022, at Briarwood Village in Coldwater.
He was born June 29, 1934, in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Arthur & Josephine (Koesters) Schroer. On September 14, 1963, he married Phyllis (Witten) Schroer, and she survives in St. Henry.
Paul is also survived by children, Diane & Jerry Watercutter of McCartyville, David & Dianna Schroer of Leo, IN, and Doris Schroer of Dayton, six grandchildren, Michael & Katie Watercutter, Brad & Shae Watercutter, Ben & Emily Selhorst, Kevin & Leela Schroer, Jamie & R.J. Wilson, and Amy Schroer, and four great grandchildren, Colton and Silas Watercutter, Eloise Selhorst, and Elliott Schroer, and one on the way, as well as siblings and in-laws, Ralph & Jeanette Schroer of Bradenton, FL, Richard & Jean Schroer of Coldwater, Mary & Larry Brunswick of Ormand Beach, FL, Dorothy Beck of Grand Ledge, MI, Donald & Linda Witten of Ohio City, and Hugh Witten of Tipp City.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and in-laws John Beck, and Pete & Bonnie Witten.
Paul was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, and the St. Henry Knights of Columbus. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1957-1959. Paul retired from for Reynolds and Reynolds after 46 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking, golfing, bowling, playing cards and following the Cincinnati Reds. Paul loved spending time with his family, especially cheering on his grandchildren at any of their sporting events while keeping their stats in his head.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at St. Henry Catholic Church. Following the funeral mass, burial will take place in St. Henry Cemetery.
Friends and family may call from 4:00pm - 7:00pm on Friday, March 25, and from 9:00 - 10:00am on Saturday, March 26, at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.
