Owen Jutte
Fort Recovery
6-4 Senior Guard
13.5 PPG, 3.0 Rebounds, 2.0 Steals
Jutte was part of a 1-2 combination with 6-5 forward Cale Rammel for the Indians, building on a strong junior season with a more well-rounded offensive game. A strong outside shooter coming into the year, Jutte knocked down a team-high 42 3-pointers during the regular season while hitting inside or mid-range looks four or five times a game.
Jutte scored 24 points against Ridgemont on Feb. 8, two weeks after a game against St. Henry when he scored 25 points, notched five steals and shot 9-of-10 from the free throw line, including 6-of-6 in the fourth quarter.
"He's a gamer," Fort Recovery coach Jim Melton said of Jutte after the St. Henry game. "He looks forward to those moments when it's crunch-time."
Jutte was the lone double-digit scorer in a 35-19 win over Parkway in the Indians' tournament opener and added 11 points in the district semifinals against Perry.
After the season, Jutte was named to the all-Midwest Athletic Conference first team for the second year in a row and earned an all-district honorable mention.
