Celina woman charged in 2020 death

CELINA - Mercer County sheriff's deputies arrested a Celina woman Thursday on four felony charges in connection with the 2020 methamphetamine death of Pamela Lawson, 64, Celina.
According to court documents unsealed on Friday, Megan Shelley, 34, is charged with first-degree felony involuntary manslaughter, third-degree felony reckless homicide, fourth-degree aggravated drug trafficking and fifth-degree felony aggravated drug possession.
According to the Nov. 18, 2021 indictment, Shelley reportedly caused the death of Lawson on or about Sept. 24, 2020, as a result of committing or attempting to traffic methamphetamine.
Shelley made her initial appearance in Mercer County Common Pleas Court on Friday.
She is scheduled to be arraigned at 2 p.m. Monday in common pleas court. She is currently being held in the Mercer County Jail without bond. No further information was available by press time.
