Barbara Klosterman
Barbara N. (Day) Klosterman, age 80, of Coldwater, died on Wednesday May 4, 2022 at her home.
She was born on July 31, 1941 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Bennett Oliver & Martha Juanita (Hunter) Day. On October 14, 1961 she married Thomas L. Klosterman and he died February 13, 2016.
She is survived by five children, Jeff (Rae) Klosterman of Columbus, Mark (Sharon) Klosterman of Coldwater, Robert (Karen) Klosterman of Coldwater, Paul (Marlee) Klosterman of Maineville, and Richard Klosterman of Coldwater; 13 grandchildren; 2 great grandchild; siblings and in-laws, Thomas O. Day of St. Augustine, FL, Earl (Eileen) Klosterman of Columbus, Victor (Pat) Klosterman of Chickasaw, Connie (Jim) Vail of Centerville, Luke (Rene) Klosterman of Coldwater and Gary (Betty) Klosterman of Coldwater, Michigan, Jim Rentz of Coldwater, Margaret Klosterman of Coldwater, and Connie Klosterman of Montezuma, and special niece Mollie Johnson of Florida.
She is also preceded in death by siblings and in laws, Diane (Phil) Attewell, Lana Day, Sr. Maria Klosterman, Mark Klosterman, Judy Rentz, Robert Klosterman, Patricia Klosterman, and Rachel Klosterman.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, where she served as a communion distributor and CCD teacher, St. Ann's Rosary Altar Sodality, Coldwater American Legion Auxiliary, Coldwater V.F.W. Auxiliary, St. Gasper del Bufalo Auxiliary, and POW-MIA Ohio Committee. Barb was a loving mother and grandmother who volunteered at Community Hospital, Coldwater schools as a cafeteria worker, homeroom mother, reading and speech helper and booster club. She was a cub scout den mother and team mom for little league baseball and football. She worked at Community Hospital, Heritage Cable in Celina and Home Bakery in Coldwater.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Holy Trinity Church, Coldwater. Burial will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Friends may call from 3 until 7 PM on Tuesday and from 9 to 10 AM Wednesday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
