* WHERE...St. Marys River at Rockford.
* WHEN...From this afternoon to Sunday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, State Route 117 near Route 118 north of Rockford is water-covered and closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:40 AM EDT Saturday the stage was 12.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this afternoon to a crest of 13.2 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Daniel Bruns
Daniel J. Bruns age 78, of Chickasaw, Ohio died at 10:36 AM on August 12, 2022 at his home in Chickasaw.
He was born on June 26, 1944 in Celina, Ohio to the late Julius H. & Mildred P. (Fiely) Bruns. He married Mary Agnes Wendel on November 2, 1974 in St. Wendelin, Ohio. She preceded him in death on June 22, 2017.
He is survived by daughters: Shelly & Corey Thobe, Delaware, Ohio and Mandy Schlater and fiancé Jeremy Lefeld, Versailles, grandchildren: Blake Homan, Audrey Lefeld, Leah Thobe, Abigail Thobe, Charlotte Lefeld, Parker Schlater, Elise Thobe & Kinley Schlater, sister Roseann and Tom Rutschilling, Irene Bruns In-laws: Pat Bruns, Marilyn Wendel, Delores Schlarman, William Wendel, Rita Wynk, Rosann & Clete Prenger, Kathleen Wendel, Karen Wendel, Janet Kuck, David & Eileen Wendel, Marjorie & Nick Meier, Ernest & Marilyn Wendel.
He was preceded in death by son-in-law Bryan Schlater, brothers: Walter Bruns, Ken Bruns, Joe Bruns, in-laws: Rochus & Mildred (Beyke) Wendel brothers-in-laws & sisters-in-law: Robert Wynk, Dave Kuck, Robert Wendel, Andy Schlarman, Marie Wendel, Ron Wendel, Don Wendel.
He was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church, Chickasaw. He was also a member of the American Legion, VFW, veteran of the US Army and a former Chickasaw Fire Captain. He was on the Marion Local Football chain gang and helped with Maintenance of the Marion Local Booster Field. Dan loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Precious Blood Catholic Church, Chickasaw, Ohio. Burial with full military honors will follow in Precious Blood Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, August 15, 2022 and from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Tuesday.
Memorials may be made to Everheart Hospice and Chickasaw Fire Department.
