Mary Jo Bruggeman
Mary Jo (Cox) Bruggeman died peacefully on November 6 surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was 88.
Mary Jo was born on January 8, 1934 in Weston, WV the daughter of Joe and Mary Cox. She graduated from St. Patrick's High School and received her BA in the fine arts from Mount Saint Joseph University in Cincinnati. She joined the faculty of Coldwater High School 1956 as the art teacher, and also taught senior English.
She later established a free lance art and sign painting business, including many years as a graphic designer for Doll Printing. She also donated her time and talents to beautify Holy Trinity Church with banners and holiday decorations.
  She married Lester "Red" Bruggeman in 1958 and was dedicated to her family, never forgetting a birthday and never without a special birthday cake. She also was know for her cookie baking and she shared her cookies generously with neighbors and friends, especially at the holidays. She was enthusiastic to explore new ideas and enjoyed a good conversation, good books, good music, all with and a good cup of coffee.
  She is survived by her children Susan (Ted) Williams, Wapakoneta, Leslie Bruggeman, Shaker Heights, Mike Bruggeman (Julie Penrod), Dunkirk, IN, Terry Riesen (Jeff Williams), Perrysburg, and Elaine Bruggeman, Coldwater, and grandchildren Luke Swygart, Joshua Riesen, Jessica Riesen, and Jack Riesen. She is preceded in death by her husband Red, her sister Clara Ann Moran, and Parents Joe and Mary Cox.
  Visitation will be Thursday November 10 from 4-6pm at Hogenkamp funeral home, Coldwater. Interment will be at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
